Legumes grown in Uzbekistan conquer Asian markets

Last week, 120 tons of red beans were delivered to Laos for the first time, the correspondent of the news agency "Doone" reports.

The exporter is the GLOBAL EXPORT company, which supplied bean products to the Lao market in a special labeled package "Made in Uzbekistan".

The agreement on the supply of this batch was reached during the International Exhibition of Imported Goods "China International Import Expo" (CIIE ‑ 2020) "New Era, common Future", which was held in Shanghai on November 5-10 this year.

At this exhibition, Uzbekistan was represented by a national stand under the brand "Made in Uzbekistan", organized by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, the Agency for Export Promotion at the MIVT, as well as the Embassy and Consulate General in Shanghai.

Representatives of the GLOBAL EXPORT company took part in the exhibition with their products. They held talks with partners and potential buyers from China and other countries. 5 new export contracts for the supply of green masha worth $ 4.5 million were signed with Chinese buyers. At the moment, products worth $ 1.2 million have already been exported under the above-mentioned contracts.

Thus, new and growing supplies of domestic products to Asian markets contribute to increasing their recognition and competitiveness due to their high quality and compliance with all necessary standards.
